If they bounce in ten seconds, that’s on us

OPAL is not an insurer. Not a quote. Twelve questions, a score, three holes in dollars. If the homepage doesn’t say that, we failed.

If someone lands on your site and cannot tell what you do in ten seconds, that is not their literacy problem. That is the builder.

We learned that the hard way. People arrived, scanned a hero full of “risk intelligence” and “pre-claim layer,” and left thinking we sold policies — or cargo quotes — or nothing they needed.

So the homepage now says it in operator English.

Not insurance. Not a quote. Answer 12 questions. Get a 0–100 score and three holes in dollars.

What we are not

  • Not an insurer. We do not issue policies.
  • Not a quote engine. Nothing on the site is a bindable price.
  • Not a public dashboard. Pilots are invite-only.
  • Not a Cal.com link from a stranger’s inbox. Book lives on tryopal.asia/book.

If a tool talks like a broker and bills like a SaaS, operators bounce. Fair.

What we are

A live product. Twelve questions. One OPAL Score. Three coverage gaps in SGD. Cyber, supply chain, assets.

Public path: waitlist + a short intro. You join. We invite. You run the check on your own business — not a demo firm.

Built in the open for Zurich × MAS Global FinTech Hackcelerator 2026, Problem 3 — closing the SME protection gap.

Why this tone

SEA operators are busy. They do not owe us a glossary. If the first screen needs a translator, the product is not ready for them.

So we cut the Plaid analogy off the home band. We cut Zurich-matched jargon from the hero. We kept the score, the three cards, and the waitlist.

If you still don’t get it after ten seconds, tell us. That message is the product too.

Would you trust a risk tool that needs a decoder ring to explain itself?
